Lamb And Apple Hot Pot

Ingredients

- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, more as needed
- 3 onions, cut in two and then into thin half-moons
- 8 ounces sliced bacon, cut crosswise into 1/2 inch strips
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 6 (6 ounce) boneless lamb chops (each weighing 6 to 8 ounces)
- 3 medium granny smith apples or 2 large granny smith apples
- 2 cups sharp pressed apple cider

- 2 heat oven to 325 degrees.
- 3 in a large skillet, heat 3 tablespoons oil and add onions.
- 4 sauté until soft, about 10 minutes.
