Laura's Pumpkin Scones

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cold and sliced)
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips or 1/3 cup cinnamon baking chips
  • 1/4 cup pecans (toasted and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (canned)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 place all dry ingredients into a food processor and incorporate with the cold butter and the wet ingredients.
  • 2 mix in the chocolate or the cinnamon chips and the pecans by hand.
  • 3 place into a divided scone pan and bake @400 for 20 minutes.
