Cranberry-pear Chutney

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) can whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sliced pears, drained and each slice cut in half
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisin
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until hot. add the onion and garlic; cook and stir for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent. stir in the remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. reduce heat to medium-low. cook for 20 minutes, until the sauce is slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. serve warm with roast turkey, lamb roast or baked ham.
