Pumpkin-apple Butter

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans pumpkin
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger, grated

Recipe

  • 1 in saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients until blended.
  • 2 bring to a boil, stirring continuously.
  • 3 reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, stirring often, for 30 min., or until very thick.
  • 4 cool; spoon into airtight containers.
  • 5 keep refrigerated up to 2 weeks.
