Pumpkin/pompoen Confituur

Total Time: 12 hrs 30 mins Preparation Time: 12 hrs Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 lbs pumpkin flesh
  • 2 oranges
  • 4 lemons
  • 750 g sugar

Recipe

  • 1 clean the seeds out of the pumpkin and cut the meat in small pieces.
  • 2 peel the oranges and the lemons and peel off the membrane.
  • 3 cut the oranges and lemons in pieces and remove all seeds.
  • 4 in a big cooking pan, layer the pumpkin, and the fruit with the last layer being pumpkin.
  • 5 sprinkle the sugar over all in the pan, put a lid on it and let it set in a cool place for one night.
  • 6 cook the pot for at least 30 minutes so that the mixture becomes thick.
  • 7 pour into canning jars and seal them good.
