Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
- 2 combine flour and brown sugar.
- 3 add butter and cut in until well distributed and crumbly.
- 4 reserve 3/4 cup of the mixture and spread the rest in the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking pan, pressing down to compact.
- 5 place in oven and bake for 15 minutes, then cool slightly.
- 6 combine the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth.
- 7 pour over the crust and sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture.
- 8 return to oven and bake for another 30-35 minutes.
- 9 allow to cool before cutting into bars.
