Pumpkin Pecan Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl large bowl stir together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, pie spice, baking soda, and salt. cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. in a small bowl whisk together egg, pumpkin and milk. add to crumb mixture and stir just until moistened. stir in pecans.
  • 2 turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, knead 10 times. pat into an 8-in. circle. cut into eight wedges; separate wedges and place on a greased baking sheet.
  • 3 bake at 400° for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
