Healthy Homemade Bars

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup almond butter (or substitute 1 cup organic peanut butter)
  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds or 1/4 cup crushed pumpkin seeds
  • 1/8-1/4 cup honey
  • if you prefer it sweeter feel free to add 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or a few drops stevia

Recipe

  • 1 set oven to 275.
  • 2 combine egg and almond butter until well mixed.
  • 3 add honey until texture is smooth.
  • 4 add the oatmeal, raisins and dried cranberries.
  • 5 at this point add any seeds, chocolate, or powder.
  • 6 place on a lined baking tray in balls, or place the mixture 1 inch thick in a well greased glass baking dish and bake for 15 minutes.
  • 7 cut into desired size square or place balls onto a rack to cool.
