Mimi's Praline Topped Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (scant)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 eggs (beaten)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1/8 cup molasses
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
Recipe
- 1 pumpkin pie:.
- 2 in a large bowl put the pumpkin, sugar, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg; mix well.
- 3 add beaten eggs, melted butter, and molasses.
- 4 add the milk, stirring well.
- 5 pour into a crust-lined pie plate.
- 6 preheat oven to 450 degrees and bake the pie for 15 minutes.
- 7 reduce heat to 350 and continue baking for 40 minutes; open oven and crumble the praline topping with fingers and bake for another 10 minutes.
