Frosted Pumpkin Squares

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Recipe

  • 1 cake:.
  • 2 mix butter ans sugar with an electric mixer on med. speed until light and fluffy. blend in pumpkin and eggs. mix in combined dry ingredients. stir in walnuts.
  • 3 spread into greased and floured 15 by 10 by 1 inch baking pan.
  • 4 bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minute or until wodden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean; cool.
  • 5 frosting:.
  • 6 mix cream cheese, butter and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. gradually add sugar, mixing well after each addition. spread onto cake. cut into squares.
