Healthy Tasty Granola

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olives or 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (optional)
  • 5 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup wheat flakes
  • 1 cup rye flakes
  • 1 cup flakes barley
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup pecans or 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/4 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup roasted soybeans
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • dried fruits such as raisins, dates, cranberries, etc...after baking

Recipe

  • 1 mix oil, honey, vanilla, and peanut butter together.
  • 2 pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients, (flakes, seeds, nuts, coconut, & wheat germ).
  • 3 mix well until evenly coated.
  • 4 pour mixture onto 2 large greased cookie sheets.
  • 5 bake 250 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • 6 stir well and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 7 after baking mix in your choice of desired dried fruits.
  • 8 do not bake with the fruits in the mixture or you will think you put rocks in your granola.
