Halloween Or Fall Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cloves (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh) or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh) or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon allspice (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh) or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon ginger (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh) or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cardamom (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh) or 1/4-1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (cinnamon contains caffeine, i use cardamom because it is scandinavian like my family history. use wh)
  • 3 1/2 cups flour

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease 2 loaf pans or 3 medium size disposable gift pans or one large 11 1/2 inch size cast iron fry pan.
  • 3 the fry pan makes it nice and crusty on the edges and bottom.
  • 4 dissolve baking soda and hot water together; stir and set aside.
  • 5 mix together the following: oil, sugar, eggs, pumpkin; then add soda water into it.
  • 6 spices.
  • 7 flour 1/2 cup at a time until all is added stir in between.
  • 8 bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown and done by toothpick test.
